FUO VC performs ground-breaking ceremony of multi million Naira Tennis court facility donated by NASFAT Youth

 The Vice Chancellor of Fountain University Professor Olayinka Ramota Karim, led a ground-breaking ceremony to kick-start the construction of the Tennis court, with a capacity of 100 seats that was donated by the NASFAT Youth wing.

The remarkable facility featuring 100 seats stands as a generous contribution from the NASFAT youth wing with 19.6 million Naira project in advancing the university facilities which was completed within a remarkable eight weeks’ time frame after the donation.

   The ceremony took place on the 15th of November 2023, with the Vice-chancellor spearheading the event. The Registrar, Mr Sheriff Adenekan, Bursar, Mrs Silifat Ali-Balogun, Acting Librarian, Mr Surajudeen Bakrin and other esteemed guests from the University were present at the momentous occasion.

  The multi-million project, marked an important step in enhancing the extracurricular activities available for Fountain University students, with the addition of tennis court, students will have access to a modern and well equipped facility to hone their skills and foster a healthy competitive spirit.

  Prof. Karim expressed her gratitude towards the NASFAT Youth wing for their generous contribution. She highlighted the significance of the Tennis court, that it will not only provide students with a recreational outlet but also encouraged physical fitness and teamwork.

  The foundation-laying ceremony signifies the beginning of construction activities, which are expected to be completed within 8 weeks students can expect to enjoy a top-of- the-line tennis court that meets international standard.
