NUC approves 17 new programmes for FUO

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval for the commencement of 17 new programmes at Fountain University, Osogbo.
The 17 new programmes are joining the existing ones, expanding the number of courses and programmes offered by the institution.
Out of the 17 programmes, 11 are undergraduate while six (6) are postgraduate programmes.
This is contained in release by the Public Relations Office of the University, which indicated that the approved programmes are in line with the global needs and part of the University’s ongoing effect to provide a comprehensive and diverse educational experience for the fresh undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The newly introduced undergraduate programmes approved with effect from 2023|2024 academic session cover a wide range of disciplines, including B.A French, B.A linguistic, B.A Arabic, B.A Islamic studies, B.A History and international studies, B.sc Public administrations, B.sc Criminology and security studies, B.sc Electronics and computer system as well as B.sc Electronics and Communications.

In addition to the under graduates programs, the university also introduce 6 post graduates programs, providing opportunities for further specialization and advance study. These programmes includes M.sc and ph.D Accounting, M.sc and ph.D Computer science, M.sc and ph.D, Public administration as well as, M.phil and ph.D Political science.
Facilities required for the study of these approved programmes such as; Lecture hall, Lecture rooms, Library, qualified and competent lecturers has been put in place with students already admitted into the various programmes.
The approval of these new programmes reflect the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to meeting the demand of a rapidly changing world, enabling students to pursue advance degrees and contribute to their respective industries through research and innovation.
